Mesaba Athletic Club - Class Descriptions

The following is a list of all classes offered at the Mesaba Athletic Club. Please see the Class Schedule to view the classes currently offered.

Class Experience Level
Beg – Beginner, Int – Intermediate, All – Beginner & Intermediate

Silver Sneakers® I Muscular Strength & Range of Motion (60 min): Beg – Have fun and move to the music of a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.

Express Pilates (30 min): All – Sneak off on you lunch break and squeeze in a half-hour packed with a full body workout to strengthen your core muscles.

HIIT (60 min): All – High Intensity Interval Training. Multi-level class for anyone who wants to develop muscular strength & endurance along with high paced calisthenics and light weights will reshape your body..  This simple easy to follow workout challenges every major muscle..

Adult Self Defense (60min) 16 years and up: For both men and women, this class is designed to not promote fighting but to keep yourself safe in case of an attack. Instructor Darlene Hodge.

Zumba® (60 min): All – Zumba is easy and is designed for everyone, every shape and age. Zumba is a cardio-based workout with sculpting exercises designed to tone the entire body from top to bottom. "Burn 500 calories an hour with The Hot New Workout - Zumba!"

We offer a wide variety of weights and exercise systems, including both free weights and nautilus machines. Our mirrored weight room also includes several abdominal weight machines, a Smith Machine, Hip Sled, Cable Cross, and Lateral Pull-down machine.

Cardio Training

Cardio Training
Mesaba Athletic Club's offers a variety of cardio equipment. Our new main floor cardio room is equipped with bikes, steppers, treadmills, elliptical trainers, and six new Life Fitness Machines.
